The local market is transitioning from low-grade imports to specialized materials that can withstand the high thermal stresses of Southeast Asian climatic conditions.
The adoption of graphite petroleum coke has become essential for the domestic production of graphite electrodes. As Vietnamese factories move toward Industry 4.0, the requirement for consistency in carbon purity and electrical conductivity is now a primary procurement driver.
Furthermore, the efficiency of the petroleum coking process in the region is being scrutinized to meet stricter environmental regulations. This has led to a shift toward importing pre-processed, high-density carbon materials to reduce local emissions during the calcination phase.
